SSBI has global expertise along with its global partners for PCB Destruction Services which are cost effective, fast for implementation with subsequent less maintenance and operation cost. PCBs are a class of synthetic organic chemicals which are fire resistant and have high resistance to thermal breakdown.
It is a material in use or as a waste (solid or liquid) that contains more than 50 mg/kg (ppm) of PCBs. There are more than 200 types of PCBs.
We offer effective waste disposal techniques. When treating low-level PCB-contaminated insulating oil; Low-temperature mobile or fixed system destroys PCBs completely, rendering more than 95% equivalent-to-new oil suitable for use in electrical equipment, along with a small amount of non-toxic, conventionally disposable sludge, consisting mainly of sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide and harmless petroleum by-products.
In destroying halogenated toxic materials, low temperature process efficiently converts the toxic material into re-usable compounds.
Main owners of PCB-containing equipment and PCBs oil in the public sector are the power generation and transmission companies (State Electricity Boards), heavy industries such as steel, cement, fertilizer, etc and in the private sector the mining, lubricant and ship-breaking industries, etc.
